Advanced Smart Meter Infrastructure Market in U.S. to Exceed $5 Billion by 2015, Zpryme ReportsAdvanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is a crucial and fundamental first milestone in the development and deployment of the Smart Grid. In fact, 23.9% ($818 million) of the $3.4 billion in U.S. Smart Grid stimulus funds awarded in 2009 were for 31 AMI projects. In the latest Smart Grid Insights report by Zpryme (available for free download at www.zpryme.com) the U.S. AMI market will grow from $2.54 billion in 2010 to $5.82 billion in 2015, representing an 18.0% CAGR during this time period. Collective smart meter revenues (electric, gas, and water) are projected to grow from $1.2 billion to $2.3 billion during this time period. ![]()
